Career and Technology Education

CTE curriculum provides rigorous, relevant, profession-based learning experiences for Parkway middle and high school students. Our mission is to educate students through industry-based curriculum, employability and technical skills, & experiential learning, so that they may respond to the challenges of an ever-changing world. CTE is comprised of the following departments: Business, Marketing & Technology, Family Consumer Science, and Technology/Engineering Education.
CTE Goals:
- Foster real-life problem-solving skills that can be transferred to the students' next challenge.
- Promote high school and post-secondary partnerships enabling clear career pathways to certifications and degrees.
- Prepare students to be college- and career-ready by providing core academic skills through rigorous and relevant curriculum.
- Encourage students to utilize the discovery method in solving problems.
