  • It is our pleasure to get to serve you and your children at school each day.  At Sorrento Springs Elementary, we strive to maintain increasingly high standards for student learning and development while also respecting and honoring the wonders of childhood.  We value the relationships we have with parents and families, so please help us get to know you better so that we can serve your family’s needs.  If you are new to the Sorrento Springs area, please give us a call and schedule a tour so that we may share this wonderful school community with you.

    Kristen Harms has served as an Assistant Principal at Claymont Elementary. The 2024-2025 school year serves as her first year at Sorrento.  She has also worked as a Virtual Developer for Parkway Virtual Campus and an Instructional Coach at Highcroft Ridge.  She was a Social Studies coordinator, and taught  fourth grade and kindergarten at Webster Groves Computer School.  While there, she was active in creating and presenting staff development.  She also participated in Missouri Leadership Development System, Systemic Racism Training, the Teacher Leadership committee, and the Missouri Council of Social Studies.  She enjoys spending time at her childrens’ activities and cooking countless meals.

    Jesse Burkett has been the assistant principal at Sorrento Springs Elementary School since 2020.  Prior to that, he was the instructional coach at Sorrento Springs for two years.  He also taught second, third, and fourth grades in the Hazelwood and Parkway School Districts.  He enjoys running outdoors, listening to his records, and playing basketball.  He and his wife, Cody, have two young daughters who proudly attend Parkway schools.
