Five Parkway schools receive Promising Practices award

6/30/2021 -- Five Parkway schools and the Parkway School District received a 2021 Promising Practice award from Character.org. To receive a Promising Practice award, schools must demonstrate how they put one or more of the 11 Principles of Character Education into action. Character.org certified 170 Promising Practices in schools and organizations across the country that foster character development in our children and teens.

The Parkway schools listed below are recipients of a 2021 Promising Practice award.

  • Craig Elementary: Data-Driven SEB Collaboration
  • Mason Ridge Elementary: Mason Ridge Morning Announcements
  • McKelvey Elementary: Dragon Time
  • Northeast Middle: Viking Peer Mediation and This is Me, This is Us
  • Oak Brook Elementary: Kindergarten Transition
  • Parkway School District: Parkway Food Pantry and Mental Health Task Force

Character.org will honor each 2021 Promising Practice recipient at its National Forum to be held October 20-22, 2021.
