Student wellness program – free mental health screening

9/17/2021 – In order to support the mental health of our students, Parkway is partnering with Care and Counseling to offer 7th and 10th-grade students a free, optional mental health wellness screening.

This Care and Counseling Student Wellness Program offers parents the opportunity to have their child participate in an emotional health check-up called Candid, which uses a nationally recognized screening tool. The mental wellness screening program for students is free, completely voluntary, and confidential.

How it works

  • Students complete a 10-minute questionnaire
  • Answers that reveal any potential concerns will be followed up by a trained mental health professional
  • Students and families will then receive assistance finding the help they need

We know physical and mental health plays a crucial role in a student’s ability to succeed in school and have rewarding relationships. The pandemic has only magnified this understanding of the need to support mental health for our students. Parkway is committed to working with you to educate your children and ensure that they reach their full potential inside and outside of the classroom.

We encourage you to read more about the program and the FAQ page on the website which can be found here:

Look for more information from your child's school soon.
