Diane Brown named Parkway’s director of Health Services
4/23/2021 -- Diane Brown, BSN, RN has been named director of Health Services for Parkway Schools, effective July 1.
Brown is currently in a similar role in the Ferguson-Florissant School District as the coordinator of district nurses where she has served since 2010. Prior to her leadership role, she served as an elementary school nurse in Riverview Gardens School District for 10 years. She began her career as a registered nurse for behavioral health services centers in the St. Louis region specializing in child and adolescent health and worked as a pediatric triage nurse at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Brown is a registered nurse and holds a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Superintendent Keith Marty said, “We are so fortunate to have Diane join us with many years of school nursing experience and leadership. At this time of greater interest and attention to the health and safety of all students and staff, Diane will continue the strong work of our health services department, as well as bring new ideas and experiences to Parkway.”
When accepting this position Brown said “I look forward to serving as the director of Health Services. I plan to use my years of experience in school health to ensure students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. This is important to ensure all students are capable, curious, caring and confident learners.”
