End of Year Events: Class of 2021
Central High’s graduation ceremony for the Class of 2021 will be held at POWERplex on Tuesday, May 25 at 7 pm. POWERplex provides an outdoor, drive-in style venue for our ceremony. Since this is a new venue for Parkway, we are still planning many of the specifics (e.g. how many vehicle passes will each graduate receive, when will the “doors” open, etc). In addition, we continue to work with Central High’s Project Graduation 2021 Core Committee to identify a safe, inclusive, and appropriate manner to celebrate our graduates. Details will be shared by the end of next week.
The graduation fee will remain $65 per student and includes cap & gown, diploma, diploma cover, programs, venue rental, and other event costs. The $65 fee has been added to each student’s account through Infinite Campus. Please pay the graduation fee by Friday, May 14, 2021. Parents, please review your student's account through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal before sending in payment; some students may have a credit in their account. Payment options are outlined below, but please note that the last day for seniors to pay by personal check is Tuesday, April 27.
Payment options include...
In-Person through the School Store (students only)
- Students can pay their graduation fee in the school store during the school day. In-person payment options include: cash, credit / debit card, or personal check (by Tuesday, April 27).
Through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal
- Parents can pay their student’s graduation fee with a credit / debit card through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Simply log in to the Parent Portal, click “More,” then “Online Payments” under the Quick Links section. Tabs will be at the top for each of your students. Select the tab for your senior, then review fees/fines assigned to them. Add the graduation fee to your cart, along with any other fees / fines that need to be paid, then proceed to payment.
- You may also mail to the school a personal check (must be received by Tuesday, April 27) made payable to Parkway Central High School. Please include on your check your student’s name and “graduation fee.” Please address the envelope to:
Parkway Central High School
ATTN: Lyn Decker

Some students / families may choose not participate in the graduation ceremony. The fee for students not participating in the ceremony itself will be reduced to $35 per student. Please email Dr. Sarah Power at email@example.com if your decision is to opt out of the graduation ceremony.
For the first time last year, senior parents hosted a Senior Parade in lieu of our Evening of Reflection ceremony. Participation in the event was great and it was enjoyed by all. It was also a safe and inclusive way for us to celebrate our graduates. We are excited to continue that new tradition with the Class of 2021 and are currently planning with the City of Chesterfield the specifics of this event. Our goal is to hold the parade on an evening in the days just prior to our graduation ceremony; more details to follow!
Following their 6th block exam on Tuesday, May 18, seniors will attend graduation practice in Gym A. This is an important opportunity for us to review with seniors various aspects of the ceremony and our expectations for them, as well as distribute caps and gowns.
Quarter 4 Final Exams for Seniors
The schedule for senior final exams for the 4th quarter is…
- Friday, May 14: Blocks 7 & 8
- Tuesday, May 18: Block 6
Exams will be taken during the regularly scheduled class time. Monday, May 17 is a Distance Learning Day; seniors will only be expected to attend 6th block. The last school day for seniors is Tuesday, May 18.

Corral Senior Survey
Every May, the Corral publishes a map of future plans for the senior class. This will run in both the May issue of the Corral and the yearbook. Please take a minute to fill out the form below and tell us what you'll be doing after you leave Central. The deadline to fill this out is April 30. https://forms.gle/
Senior Sunset 2021
Central High’s Student Council will host Senior Sunset on Saturday, April 24 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on the PCH stadium field. This event is for Central High seniors only (sorry, no guests or non-seniors). Tickets are $10 per student. The evening will include a few different activities, including trivia, Senior Court, and watching the sunset. In addition, prizes will be given and each student will receive a gift bag at the end of the night. At the event, students will be required to wear masks and tables will be appropriately spaced on the field. More information will be shared directly with seniors and a separate email will be sent with sign up links and additional specifics.
We recognize that not having a traditional prom for seniors and juniors is disappointing for many. We are hopeful, however, that Senior Sunset 2021 will provide the opportunity for Central High’s Class of 2021 to safely come together for an evening of fun!
