Dr. Kristie Lehde named principal of Pierremont Elementary
Dr. Kristie Lehde has been selected as the next principal of Pierremont Elementary, beginning July 1. She will succeed Brian Smith, who has provided outstanding leadership as interim principal this year.
Dr. Lehde has been part of the Parkway community since 2020, serving as assistant principal at Barretts Elementary. In this role, she has supported staff development, promoted positive student behavior, and led instructional initiatives. Before joining Parkway, she spent nearly two decades in education, serving in the Ladue School District as a technology specialist, administrative intern, and elementary school teacher.
"I could not be more excited about Dr. Kristie Lehde assuming the role of principal of Pierremont Elementary School,” Superintendent Dr Keith Marty said. “She brings a love for children, a commitment to building a joyous and child-centered learning environment, and support for teachers and the parent community. She leads by example and has a tremendous work ethic."
Beyond her work in Parkway, Dr. Lehde is actively involved in the Missouri Leadership Development System and serves as treasurer for the St. Louis Suburban Elementary Principals Association. In 2023, she was recognized as the Outstanding Assistant Principal for the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals in the St. Louis Suburban area.
The selection process included valuable input from Pierremont staff and families, who helped define the qualities they wanted in their next principal. “I am beyond excited to step into the role of principal at Pierremont Elementary,” Dr. Lehde said. “Pierremont has a rich history of excellence and I can’t wait to be a part of the Pierremont family. Together, we will continue growing, learning, and making a lasting impact on our students and community!”
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Lehde and welcoming her to the Pierremont community!
