Dr. Rene Sommers - Principal
Thank you for your patience with e-learning; it has been an adjustment as we work through the challenges. Many of you have reached out in support of what we are doing with e-learning, and for that, our teachers feel really good about their work and are motivated to keep going.
That being said, what school will look like in the fall is still unknown to us. We know that e-learning is "emergency learning," and understand we will need to spend time this summer developing our expertise to become better teachers of virtual learning.
In mid-May, there will be a Thought Exchange, seeking your input for what this should look like if we need to continue. Your responses will help Parkway craft what this will look like in the future.
Lots of Updates to share...

Staff Changes- As any principal will tell you, change is the norm in each year. Some of you may be aware of our staffing changes, but for those of you who are not:
Jill Ellinger has accepted a Literacy Coach position in Clayton; we wish her well. We welcome back Emily Cullman who has been teaching first grade at Henry and was at GT last year as a long term sub. Prior to that, she taught for five years at St Margaret of Scotland in St. Louis.
Heather Midgley, our Youth in Need Counselor, has accepted another position. She will be missed, but her replacement is an experienced and respected counselor, Rebecca Zingarelli.
Michaele Lampen, our Adventure Club Facilitator, has accepted a leadership position at the school where she started and close to her home. We are sorry to see her go, but elated for her. The new Adventure Club Facilitator will be announced in late May/early June.
