Henry Elementary School Principal

Hello Henry Families!  This will be my 23rd year in education. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 5th grade and 6th grade in a few school districts including Parkway.  I have even taught in the state of Utah!   This is my 11th year as an elementary principal, which I thoroughly enjoy.  I am married to my husband, Adam, who works in the IT field.   At home we have two dogs.  Marley, the beagle, and Mabel, the basset hound who keep us on our toes.  Mabel is just a little over a two years old and still uses the puppy stage as an excuse for her naughty behavior on a daily basis!   We enjoy traveling, cheering on the Cardinals and Blues, spending time outside, and music.  

Henry Elementary School Assistant Principal

Dr. Louis Smith comes to Henry from the Union School District where he began his career in education over 14 years ago as an elementary school teacher.  He has taught first grade, second grade, third grade, K-3 STEM, and sixth grade communications and current events.   For the last 3 years, Dr. Smith has been the assistant principal at Union Middle School.

Dr. Smith is married with two children.  His wife, Tonya, is a nurse in St. Louis.   His son, Luke, is a senior at Mizzou, and his daughter, Mia, will be a freshman soccer player at Webster University this fall. Dr. Smith loves Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Office, Marvel and DC, the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues, and his three dogs, Sophie, Minnow, and Mello.

Dr. Smith said, “I am so incredibly excited and honored to be joining the Henry Elementary family.  I love being an educator and I eagerly look forward to working with your students and the entire Henry community.”
