For Parkway South High

Important Dates
August 2024 - September 2024 - Students enrolled in AP classes will "join" their teachers' AP Classrooms to access supportive materials for the AP class. This is for all AP classes, with the exception of Comparative Government*.
August 2024 - May 2025 - AP teachers may choose to make assignments in their class's AP Classroom. Students are responsible for signing in to their myap.collegeboard.org account and checking for any assignments in their AP Classrooms.
September 30, 2024 - Students will be billed for their AP exams for all the AP classes they are enrolled in for the year, except for AP Comparative Government which is considered a spring semester-only exam decision.
October 1, 2024 through November 5, 2024- Students who plan to take one or more AP exams will pay for their exam or exams, except for AP Comparative Government (spring 2025 decision and payment).
September 16, 2024 through November 5, 2024 - Students who do not wish to take one or more AP exams will complete a Google form to cancel each AP exam and give a reason for not taking the exam. The reason is required by the College Board to be able to cancel the exam. Students who drop an AP class and do not want to take the AP exam must complete the Google form to cancel the AP Exam. Students will be given the link to the AP Exam cancelation Google form from Ms Seuc.
November 5, 2024 - Payment for AP Exams is due for all exams, except for Comparative Government.
November 6, 2024 - March 6, 2025 - Students can add or cancel any of their AP exams. The College Board charges a late order fee that would be added to the cost of the AP Exam plus $40. The College Board charges an exam cancelation charge of $40 for any full year or first semester exam that was ordered. Students can be refunded what they paid minus the cancelation fee up to March 6, 2024. Students who had an AP exam ordered, but drop the AP class and do not wish to take the AP Exam, must complete the Google cancelation form to receive a partial refund.
For students enrolled in AP Government. AP Government is the only South High class that has two AP Exams associated with the AP class. The first semester the focus is on US Government & Politics, which is aligned with the AP US Government & Politics exam. During the second semester, the focus shifts to an international view in comparison to the United States, which aligns with the AP Comparative Government & Politics exam. Since students are not introduced to the Comparative section, the AP Comparative Government & Politics exam is considered a second semester option, not a full year class, allowing students to make a decision during early second semester.
January 21, 2025 - February 7, 2025 - Students enrolled in AP Government classes will "join" their teachers' AP Classrooms to access supportive materials for the AP Comparative Government & Politics class.
February 11, 2025 - Students enrolled in AP Government will be billed for the AP Comparative Government & Politics exam.
February 12, 2025 through March 6, 2025- Students who plan to take the AP Comparative Government & Politics exam will pay for their exams online or in the South High bookstore.
January 21, 2025 through March 6, 2025 - Students who do not wish to take the AP Comparative Government & Politics exam will complete a Google form to cancel the AP exam and give a reason for not taking the exam. The reason is required by the College Board to be able to cancel the exam.
March 6, 2025 - Payment is due for the AP Comparative Government exam. Late order exams are not an option.
June 20, 2025 - The last day for the Class of 2023 can request a free AP score report to go to the college they will be attending. This is done in their myap.collegeboard account. . Failure to meet this deadline will delay the scores being sent to your university of choice, and to request scores after this deadline will incur a fee of $15 for standard delivery and $25 for rush delivery.
While any student can request scores to be sent, it is only seniors that need to complete this step. Colleges use the AP scores to determine college credit and/or placement. AP Scores are not college admission exams. Most colleges will not review the scores unless a student has been accepted and committed to attending a specific university.

Important Financial Information
The AP exam cost is $100 per AP exam.
Payments are paid to the South High Bookstore. Parents will see the charges in the Parent Infinite Campus account. Payments can be made online through the parents Infinite Campus account or in the bookstore.
After the AP Coordinator orders the AP Exams for AP 2025, making the College Board's deadline in early November, any exam that is canceled has a $40 cancelation fee. After the exam order, any exam added has a $40 late order fee. These fees are charged to Parkway South High by the College Board and are the responsibility of the student and parent/guardian.
Students with a financial need should contact Ms Robin Seuc, AP Coordinator, directly to discuss their individual situation.
