The Security Department is responsible for the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors while on Parkway's property. The department is staffed by commissioned police and licensed school safety officers.

Police Officers are assigned daily to each high and middle school as School Resource Officers. They also respond to the non-emergency needs of the elementary schools in their jurisdiction. Licensed School Safety Officers also monitor fire, intrusion and closed circuit digital video cameras as well as patrol the district after hours checking for hazards
