Asbestos
The U. S. EPA Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) under the Federal Code of Regulations 40 CFR 763.93g(4) requires that building occupants be notified annually of the presence of asbestos in the building and the availability of the Asbestos Management Plan.

Breakfast and Lunch Program
The Parkway School District participates in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. This allows families the opportunity to apply for Free and Reduced Price Meal Benefits. Learn more about eligibility and apply here.

Bullying Policy
As a public educational institution, the Board of Education believes all students need a safe learning environment. Accordingly, district staff will not tolerate bullying behavior.

Civility Policy
In an effort to maintain a safe workplace free of harassment and to promote a positive learning environment for students and staff, respectful and civil behavior is required on district property, in district-sponsored transportation, and at district-sponsored activities and events.

Nondiscrimination
It is the policy of the Parkway School District not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, disability, age, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by law in its programs, activities or employment practices.

Notification of Rights under the Protection of Pupil Right Amendment
When a student enrolls for the first time, two cumulative records, education and health, shall be created and shall be maintained in the school until the student is withdrawn from enrollment.

Participation in Statewide Assessment
These are assessments that happen after instruction to determine if learning occurred. They are used to make statements of student learning status at a point in time, such as when making student referrals or making decisions about programs.

Service and Rights for Students with Disabilities
Eligible students between the ages of three (3) and twenty-one (21) are entitled to/guaranteed a free appropriate public education and procedural safeguards/protections.

Student Attendance
The Board of Education believes daily attendance is the initial step in achieving academic success. Education is a total process based on continual communication and shared responsibilities among parents, students, teachers, and the school.

Unpaid Meal Charge Policy

Video Monitoring on School Property
In an effort to promote the health, safety and welfare of all students, staff and visitors, and to safeguard district facilities and equipment, the Board of Education authorizes the use of video cameras, monitoring equipment and other recording devices on district property and at other locations where district resources are being utilized.
