• GROUP CONNECTIONS

    Group Connections offer opportunities for parents/caregivers and children to participate in a variety of hands-on learning activities. In addition, it is a great occasion to connect with other families. Most of all, we hope you will have fun with your child.

    Group Connection family events are organized and designed for parent-child interaction, so parents can learn by observing their child and other children. The events typically have a variety of theme-based activities for families to enjoy together. Parent educators or community partners lead the events and provide useful information to parents.

    Group Connection parent-only sessions are opportunities to share information about parenting issues from a variety of experts on different topics. These sessions may be held virtually or in person.  All Group Connections are provided at no charge to families, but registration for the event is requested. 

    Parkway Parents as Teachers @ The Safety House

    Join us at The Safety House, a state-of-the-art learning center located behind West County EMS and Fire District Station 2 @ 13790 Manchester Rd, for hands-on activities that focus on safety in your home.  Children will have the opportunity to climb on board a real ambulance and fire truck and meet a firefighter dressed in all his gear.  This event is free but registration is required and limited to 80 families.     Whether you are at your wit's end or at the beginning of your parenting journey, please join us for the first in a series for parents based on the concepts of Dr. Becky Bailey and her program: Conscious Discipline. This first presentation will be an overview of concepts, and each presentation will dig a little deeper into the details. We hope you come away with lots of good information as well as tips and strategies for your parenting toolbox.

    This presentation is Tuesday, October 3rd @ 1pm-2pm via Zoom and will be recorded. Put the kids down for a nap and listen in! This series is a collaboration between the Kirkwood, Ladue, Mehlville, Parkway, Pattonville & Rockwood PAT programs.   Click to Register

     
    Parent & Me: Outdoor Experience

    Babler Outdoor Education Center  - 200 Lake Rd, Wildwood  63005
    Indulge in nature and experience a day outdoors with your little one as you engage in activities that will help you build your "outdoor toolbox", including: a short hike/storybook walk, and more on the beautiful grounds of Babler State Park. Engage with your child and other families in new ways that you can adopt into your everyday leisure time. This program is taught by a CE instructor and in collaboration with Parkway and Rockwood Parents As Teachers Programs. $5 per child.   Click to Enroll 
     
    Panda Playtime

    Panda Playtime is a FREE Parkway Parents as Teachers event for Parkway families with children ages Birth to 36 months. This is a great time for your child to learn and develop social skills while playing with others. We set up the fun & the children decide how to play. Stay for as long as you choose.
