Social Emotional Support Services

  • The Social-Emotional Support Services Department was formed to intentionally focus district resources on supporting the social-emotional needs of all students and families while providing relevant development for staff on topics related to child and adolescent mental wellness.  Our teams work in collaboration with existing school and district resources, such as school counselors, district counselors, school psychologists and the Special School District.

Some examples of our work involve:

    • Consulting/problem-solving with teachers and school teams
    • Connecting district mental health professionals to those students and families in need
    • Individual student and group counseling
    • Exploring community resources and how they can support Parkway students in and out of school.
