Title VI
Title VI, 42 U.S.C. § 2000d et seq., was enacted as part of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964. It prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.
The Parkway School District Board of Education is committed to maintaining an educational environment that is free from discrimination and harassment in admission or access to, or treatment in, its programs, services, activities and facilities. In accordance with law, the district strictly prohibits discrimination and harassment against students or employees on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, disability, age, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law.
The Board of Education is committed to maintaining an environment for its employees and students that is free from sexual harassment.
