CPL LUKE MYERS

In 2020, Luke joined Parkway as a day patrol officer and just one year later was promoted to the rank of Corporal, assigned additional duties related to building access and community relations.

As a trained medical first responder, Luke brings another dimension to Team Security.  He is an Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic.  Shortly after earning Paramedic certification, Luke went to New York City to volunteer to help with the COVID crisis.  He witnessed the worst of the pandemic up close before returning home to support Missouri's medical professionals.  In addition to his emergency medical expertise, Luke is an experienced law enforcement communications officer, certified by the MSHP as a MULES operator. In 2018, Luke earned Communications Officer Of The Year in recognition of his skill in handling 911 calls from suicidal subjects, domestic violence victims, and those reporting acute medical emergencies (drug overdoses, etc.).  No doubt, Luke's degree in Psychology well-prepared him for emergency services work.

Luke likes to spend his spare time "giving back."  His past volunteer undertakings include search and rescue missions, Eagle Scout projects, environmental preservation activities, and flood relief work.  One of Luke's favorite volunteer opportunities comes at Christmastime each year: the Marine Corps' Toys For Tots drive.

Luke is not all work and no play.  He is a fan of the arts, particularly theater, and is an amateur actor.  He also enjoys the sport of fencing, target shooting and reading.
