Social-Emotional Student Survey FAQ
-
Who is Parkway partnering with to provide the surveys?
Parkway is partnering with Panorama Education to collect and analyze data about social-emotional learning, school climate, sense of belonging and more. These surveys are research-based tools designed to assess and support students' social-emotional learning (SEL) needs. These surveys help schools gather important information about students' experiences, skills, and well-being. Panorama supports more than 10 million students in 17,000 schools and 1,500 districts across 49 states. To learn more about Panorama Education, visit www.panoramaed.com.

How often will the surveys be conducted?
Typically, the surveys are conducted two times per academic year - once in the fall and once in the winter. This allows us to track progress and adjust our support strategies as needed.
-
Are the surveys mandatory?
While we believe all students will benefit from taking surveys, they are not mandatory. We respect families who may want to opt out so that their child does not participate.
-
How do I opt my child out of the survey?
Parkway provides parents with the opportunity in the fall to opt-out their child for the entire school year. If you do not want your child to take the survey, please watch for the opt-out form provided in your school newsletter or emailed in advance of the survey date at the start of the school year.
-
How does this survey benefit my child specifically?
By participating in this survey, your child may receive more support in developing crucial life skills such as managing emotions, building healthy relationships, and making responsible decisions. The insights gained help us create a more supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

What information does Missouri require for surveys?
