Students will discover WHAT IS ART? 

This class is a 9 week class, coinciding with one quarter.  Discover the world of art and design through art making using a wide variety of materials, study of cultures, and self reflection. Students will develop innovative and creative problem solving, as well as critical thinking skills by seeking multiple solutions to artistic problems.   We will dive into various art careers and mediums such as:

• drawing
• painting
• design
• digital art
• mixed media
• ceramics

The touch of an artist or designer can be seen in every product in today’s world.  We want to better prepare our visual students with opportunities to develop creative and critical thinking skills through artistic experiences.
