Stand Up 9
Stand Up 9 is a freshmen leadership academy offered through a partnership with The Alliance for Healthy Communities’ Teen Voice for Change. This academy identifies and develops leadership and advocacy skills. The freshmen attend a full-day retreat and meet other youth who have the same heart for drug-free leadership.
Stand Up 9! will take place on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. The event is for current high school freshman students in the Parkway School District, and other high schools in the Parkway School District footprint. Interested youth may apply by completing an application which can be found on the Participant Information page. The deadline for applying is Friday, January 10, 2020. Applications must be turned into the Safe and Drug-Free School Leader for your school, identified on the application form. Limited spots are available so the application is a competitive process.
Stand Up 9! will be a day-long event starting at 8:00 am and concluding at 4:00 pm. If selected, participants will need transportation to and from the event locations. This year's event will begin at Amp Up Action Park in Ballwin. A light lunch and snacks will be provided for the participants.
