High School Heroes

HIGH SCHOOL HEROES is a drug prevention program designed for 6th-grade students, which focuses on e-cigarettes, cannabis, and CBD. The program originated in 1996 through a partnership with the American Lung Association and American Heart Association.
The secret of this program’s success is the trained High School Heroes. These heroes are student facilitators who present hands-on demonstrations. The engaging lessons, focusing on health risks, self-worth, and natural highs, capture the attention of the 6th-grade audience.
High School Heroes serve as educators and mentors. The 6th-grade students not only receive important information but also hear testimonials and see their “Heroes” as healthy role models.
